NEW MACHINE EMBROIDERY

When plants drop their leaves, when branches and wings break, everything falls to the ground and piles up. And he is there, collecting it and transforming it into the most powerful formula he knows.

HUMI, from the Latin humus, was born in Florence from the collection of branches, roots and closed roads. It is the name of a project that gathers the most fertile part of my path.

After studying Fashion Design and later Graphic Design & Art Direction in Milan, I began to connect the threads and let them ferment.

The machine I used to dress people, I used as a means to peel off layers.

The need to communicate in my own way worked its way through what I thought were poor choices.

Instead, everything served to moisten the soil, and I began to cultivate the beauty of error.

In order to speak the language that belongs most to me, I modified my old sewing machine to produce faulty seams and uneven strokes.

I listen to them and try to tell their stories.

And so there is no mistake I want to erase.
